WODproud Event Participation Waiver and Release

This agreement is between WODproud (“WODproud”), the host venue (“Host Box”), and you, the participant (“Participant”).

The Participant understands that attending and participating in WODproud events involves strenuous physical activities, including but not limited to CrossFit-style workouts, weightlifting, aerobic conditioning, and group exercise.

The Participant acknowledges that such activities carry inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, or medical complications, which may arise from physical exertion, use of equipment, environmental conditions, contact with others, or unforeseen circumstances. The Participant voluntarily accepts and assumes all such inherent risks.

Nothing in this waiver excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such liability cannot be excluded under English law.

The Participant confirms that they are physically fit and able to participate safely in the event and have no medical condition that would reasonably prevent participation. The Participant accepts responsibility for assessing their own fitness and capability on the day of the event.

The Participant agrees to stop any activity immediately if they experience pain, dizziness, or discomfort and to inform event staff where appropriate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Participant agrees to release and hold harmless WODproud, the Host Box, and their respective owners, employees, contractors, volunteers, and agents from any claims, liabilities, losses, or damages arising out of or in connection with participation in the event, except where caused by death or personal injury resulting from negligence.

The Participant agrees to follow all rules, instructions, and safety guidance provided by WODproud and the Host Box. Failure to do so may result in removal from the event without refund.

The Participant accepts responsibility for their personal property and equipment.

The Participant consents to being photographed, filmed, or otherwise recorded during the event and grants WODproud the right to use such media for promotional and marketing purposes, in any format, without compensation.

The Participant agrees to provide accurate emergency contact information and consents to emergency medical treatment being administered if deemed necessary.

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

By purchasing a ticket and/or attending a WODproud event, the Participant confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this waiver and release.
